Yesterday I had my first day of Heart of House by myself and I LOVED it! I think its one of my favorite jobs. I was in Belle's Basement (its actually upstairs but whatever) and you work with around 5 other people and you are in charge of all the clothes for the store. So you carry around a phone and people call from the floor and ask if you have additional sizes that they need. If you do have it you take it and put it down the lift and they go to the bottom and get what they need. Its really convenient when you are on the floor helping guests. In addition to that every 2 hours "picks" come out so you get a list of every item that sold in the prior 2 hours and send it down and the stock person puts it all away. So basically all day long you are constantly replenishing the floor. You also have a lot of down time when you're done with the picks but no one has called so I would just walk around and look at all the clothes. Its a great way to spend your whole paycheck. You also are able to listen to your ipod while you are working. Overall it was really fun. On my lunch break I went to the break room behind the food area. There is a little restaurant/break room that connects with the back of 3 other food places so you can order food. I decided to treat myself to a cupcake from BabyCakes its a bakery in New York. All the cupcakes are gluten free, soy free, and a bunch of other stuff. It was delicious! Once I got home I took a nap and got ready. I went to a party at an apartment here and met a lot of new people.
Today I have a 9 hour shift as front of house. Its mainly cash register but also door greeting, merchantainment which means you are on the floor playing with toys or playing games. Its finally my last day of my 7 day in a row work week. I am so excited to have 2 days off and be able to go to the parks!
